HART's rescued pets are kept in foster homes until a permanent home is found. We try to make a good match between what the adopter is seeking and what we know about each pet.

June is a very sweet, small dog who weighs about 6-8 pounds. She is definitely a dachshund mix with something else, probably a terrier. Her hair is long and wiry, so she may even have wire haired dachshund in her. She is quiet, seldom barks, except when playing, and is very low maintenance. She is a little shy with strangers, but warms up quickly. She is house trained and gets along well with other small dogs (seems afraid of big dogs). She has not been around small children or cats, but is not at all aggressive with any animals or people. She would love to be a lap dog and would make a good companion with any type of home, as long as she gets lots of attention.
